I am an aspiring film director currently in my second year of reading an undergraduate degree in Film Studies at the University of Warwick. For me, I find that films and the cinema are powerful agents of change be it in the social, political or economical spheres. It is simply fascinating how deeply and extensively films are able to shape the way we think, feel and act in our lives. I see that beyond its entertainment value, films carry within themselves the culture, thoughts and values of the people who worked on them. As such, films are also a key tool in archiving human culture and history as well as sharing different cultures among one another. My vision is for a global cinema that facilitates the communal celebration in our differences and the beauty of our world.

I have had some filming experience, having most recently conceived, cast, filmed and edited a video trailer as part of a publicity campaign for the Warwick Singapore Society's annual theatrical production - 'A Twist of Fate'. Additionally, I have worked independently on managing lights and sound systems for large scale ad-hoc events. I have also written for and directed a theatrical production for the annual Walk-on-Water Production Festival back in Singapore.

In my free time, I enjoy practising my photographic skills as well as experimenting with new ways of digital editing. I also consider myself an avid fan of music, myself having played the guitar for six years now. As well, I enjoy reviewing films that I have watched.
