I come from a strong upbringing in music, art and creative writing. However, I always moved from one creative outlet to the other to find a way of expression. Having music is in my blood, I often find myself in the position of producer. As a radio presenter for hospital radio, I saw it as an opportunity to attract and promote new musical genuine talent. I also developed our on air comedy style.

I had a unique, intricate and passionate understanding of music and could always spot and develop new talent. My ideas and thoughts on music were always highly respected. It's a shame the same couldn't be said when it comes to sport, as I was utterly useless, and always the last to be picked for the football team:)

I found my ideal working environment while working as an Audio Visual Technician in an arts and media college. It influenced my decision to go on to university to study Media Production and gain a 2.1 BA (Hons) Film with Media Studies and Video Production. I was considered to have an excellent influence on younger students, although I wasn't aware of it myself. I love being around genuine natural creative talent and have a major gripe against it being wasted and not given the credit it deserves, especially when it is being judged by people who are incompetent and unqualified.

My films may be described as controversial. However, art is meant to be controversial and cause debate. It is, after all, an expression of the signs of the times. However, hopefully they will be viewed objectively and in their proper context. My earlier films were experimental, as my first experience as producer and director, so experts may not rate them very highly today. However, the head of Music, Media and Performing Arts nominated them for student film awards. My view is that we cannot be truly creative unless we openly invite and welcome constructive criticism of our work. I feel that the motivation of an artist is to evoke and captivate human emotion.
