Whilst studying for my MA in Theatre Research at the University of Nottingham, (subsisting on a diet of lentils and Basics coffee), I decided that Theatre academia probably wasn't for me.

So, before completing my course in 2010, I took the job of Assistant Director at the Lakeside Arts Centre in Nottingham, worked alongside the Education departments at the Nottingham Playhouse, and followed arts group Active Ingredient around until they eventually gave me the title of Production Assistant. After finishing in Nottingham I was asked to join new theatre company Engine House as an Administration and Production Assistant, where I still work today.

In the meantime, I work as a Sound Engineer for Al Jazeera International to keep me in accomodation and egg nogg lattes.
