After completing a degree in law, Clare went on to study Commercial Photography at the Arts University College at Bournemouth. Since graduating in 2010 she has been working in London as a photographer, curator and assistant to Léonie Hampton.

In 2011 Clare was selected for Fresh Faced and Wild Eyed at The Photographers' Gallery, and in 2012 she was invited to take part in Hellen van Meene's portraiture workshop at the International Summer School of Photography in Latvia.

Clare curates the annual exhibition, 'A Year In Development' at Four Corners Gallery. The show is a presentation of over 70 of Labyrinth Photographic's clients’ hand printed images that have been shot solely on film within the preceding year, and is a celebration of analogue photography and the art of hand printing.

In 2013 Clare's work was selected for inclusion in the Taylor Wessing Portrait Prize exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery. Since then she has been commissioned regularly by publications such as The Independent Magazine, The Telegraph Magazine, Stella and Oh Comely.
