A line

14/03/11 at 22:36 — edited 14/03/11 at 22:38

What is a line for?

Is it just a person's memory?

Ancestral branches or the measure of a pedigree?

In life we face a lot of tight rope extremities.

It's man on wire, crossing it with perfect ease.

We like dreaming, things are never what they seem.

It's as if we're living to be starring on a movie scene.

We talk to death but never change anything.

Don't want no landfills, it's all about recycling.

But then we go on our journey to Australia.

It's all nice until you learn about the Ozone layer.

It aint fair cos 1 in 3 is getting cancer.

All of this cos our earth got a puncture.

The poverty plus disease in Africa.

All this distrust with the guns and the murderers.

A parents fear that their child becomes a soldier.

This path they lead will come and haunt them when they're older.

What is a war, What is it for, Why is it going on?

A daily problem to a soldier in Afghanistan.

Dodging death every day cos he's shot upon.

Lost in translation with the words from a different tongue.

You see a soldier with a leg that's amputated.

A shiny badge is how that man is compensated.

But this man will never get back his leg.

It could have been worse, like a bullet to the head.

And then a Tsunami forms, it came from out there.

You can try and run but you won't get anywhere.

The water drags you down to the oceans deadly lair,

the end of the line. You depart from all your cares.

A question asked, How did you spend your time on Earth?

A life lived full, filled with happiness and mirth?

Achievements made, beginning from a birth.

Riding the tide of an all eternal Surf .
