The lake is usually a peaceful place, concealed by the woods around it, sheltered by the over-hanging branches. There are very few people who even know the location of this wonderfully secluded pool. One year had passed since two particular children discovered the lake. One year of misery had passed, the children lived for the time they spent together in the woods, their families had joined a year before that. Their lives had been filled with hate, anger and violence, both as spectators and as involuntary participants. The boy had loathed his new sister, any other little boy would react in the same way. She was someone he had to get on with and share with, even share a room with. Half of his property was now hers. He soon realised, along with his possessions, he had to share his experiences as well.
