About me

Freelance director and workshop facilitator based in London.

Most recently directed and designed a double bill of Vaughan Williams’ 'Riders to the Sea' and Donizetti’s 'Rita' for Opera Holloway, as well as working as a Stage Manager and eventually General Manager at the Finborough Theatre.

I have a lot of experience working with young people. At the moment I present science shows and demonstrations at the Science Museum in South Kensington. I have trained and undertaken regular freelance work in schools for One Day Creative Education, Creation Theatre Company, and Bigfoot Arts Education.

Trained at Cambridge University where I studied English Literature and directed thirteen productions, including The Two Gentlemen of Verona, Glengarry Glen Ross, Disco Pigs, The Lonesome West and Cabaret.

I also direct opera: credits include Janáček’s The Cunning Little Vixen, Holst’s Savitri and The Wandering Scholar, and LOST, a new site-specific opera which was performed in promenade in the Fitzwilliam Museum as part of the Cambridge Festival of Ideas.
