Plain Sight is a collaboration of performers, directors, writers and other creatives in the performance industry.
Founded in 2012 by director Amy Gunn and dancer/choreographer Caecilie Hougaard Pedersen we aim to produce adventurous and original theatre for all ages.

Our work is based on a passion for producing exciting theatre that will challenge the audience as will as those performing it. We want to explore unconventional approaches to directing, staging and locations as well as using multiple art forms to deliver both new and traditional stories.

We want to encourage those experiencing our work, to sometimes re-evaluate their perceptions of theatrical performance. We want to take risks and surprise people, even traditional theatregoers, by creating work that challenges the audience / performer relationship both in our adult productions and children’s theatre. Sometimes, by intergrading the audience using promenade and invisible theatre and sometimes by transforming known, everyday environments into colourful and entertaining fairylands.

Plain Sight is a spontaneous and dynamic company who is constantly adapting and growing.

We have been working with the local community and the use of public spaces and have latest been touring a short children’s piece across the libraries in South London. We build relationships with local library users and local nurseries and alongside the performance we invited the audience to participate in a short free workshop running post show during which we worked with the children creating shadow puppets, showing them the concept of light and shadow as well as how the puppets where used in the show.
