I'm a set and costume designer based in the south-east of London with my own well equipped studio. I also work a lot in Germany, particularly in Berlin, where I originally come from. That is where I also trained. My training had a very hands-on approach, which made me value the practical creative process that involves for me a lot of drawing, building, painting, sculpting, trying, failing and trying again. But it also strong on ideas and developing concepts. Thinking, researching, conceptualizing and finally after a rigorous selection process coming up with an idea is crucial to my process. Often conceptually strong I value aesthetics and balance in composition and colour as much in my work. Later on I studied alongside working as a freelance stage designer at Goldsmiths University. I did my Master there in New Media Art, which got me into using new media in my designs, like projections and live feed. I've worked as a stage designer since 2008 and have been working mainly in contemporary dance, opera and musical theatre. Music is my passion and the idea of combining a visual imagery to it my dream job.
