The distribution of housing in London has had a mosaic pattern. Social housing and council estates sit next to town houses and private squares. The city is now going through a phase of regeneration not seen on such a scale since the reconstruction after the War. Areas targeted for regeneration are some of London's poorest and most deprived. The repercussions of this are changing both the social and physical landscape of the city. Sections of London are becoming unaffordable to vast amounts of the population. The mosaic pattern is changing. A centrifugal force is pushing people to the edge...
