About me

I am a freelance journalist and writer focusing primarily on the arts, human rights and LGBT issues.

I am Associate Editor of Out There magazine, a new bi-annual LGBT magazine that celebrates all aspects of homoculture across the world. For Out There I have written extensive articles on human rights issues and the arts.

I have extensive experience writing about art and have been Art and Picture Editor for the online magazine Culture Compass and a reviewer for the leading not for profit website Culture24. One of the most satisfying aspects of my work here was uncovering and showcasing new talent and work by young creatives. This remains a focal point for my journalism.

I have written columns for and guest edited the gay section of Time Out magazine and have a column in the online magazine Q:ID.

I also write fiction and had my first short story published in the anthology Men and Women published by Glasshouse Press earlier this year.

I am delighted to have had recent freelance work published on IdeasTap.
