Jacknife Theatre Company is unique, diverse and original. Our company have previously utilized various theatrical forms such as: sight specific ventures, audience participation and physical theatre.
We aim to be as multifaceted as possible with members of the company not only performing but working as set designers / costume designers / sound designers and directors. Our mission is to continue to break the boundaries of theatre in our constant search for a new genre and maintain enjoyment and excitment for our audiences.

The majority of Jacknife Theatre Company have previously graduated from Middlesex University, all with Theatre Arts Degrees; some of whom are progressing at masters level and our training there has inspired us to create and explore new ideas freely and imaginatively using all mediums of theatre to stimulate creativity.

Jacknife Theatre Company are developing a few projects at this time; one of which is an adaptation of two well known plays, the other a physical insight into ‘Roald Dahl’s Revolting Rhyme’s’ both of which are currently works in progress.

Currently we are looking at creating a performance about TEA. This will be a universal piece which can be understood and translated to all backgrounds. We will aim to perform during the Olympic period in order to use this universal piece to its maximum potential and to give our audience an insight into the significance TEA has within Britain. We want to illuminate how TEA has changed, the history/origin of TEA and the use of TEA in Britain today. As a company we feel this is a unique idea and very relevant to the Olympics as the British are well known for our 'obsession' with TEA and cleverly using a physical and informative style we want to show everyone why we care so much about this age old tradition.
