Everything The Roses raise gets divided between IdeasTap and Ordinary2Extraordinary, an umbrella charity for smaller children’s charities.

And it’s not all about major corporate sponsorship either. There were only a couple of lump donations in the £26,193 the Roses raised doing RAAM. The team started fundraising events from scratch and shook collecting tins on the high streets of the towns they grew up in.

The IdeasTap Wellbeing Fund

All money raised for IdeasTap goes into our Wellbeing Fund which supports healthy living projects. Past projects funded range from dance performances in hospital waiting rooms to image-making in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy sessions. Thanks to The Roses’ heroic efforts so far, ten IdeasTap members have each received £1,000 to get their ideas off the ground.

Ordinary2Extraordinary

The Roses got involved in Ordinary2Extraordinary when Ollie met what he describes as an “extreme exercise nutter with a burning desire for adventure”. He turned out to be co-founder of the newly formed charity O2E and now Ollie’s on the committee himself.

O2E is a vehicle for fundraising for smaller children’s charities which may not have a ready supply of individuals to call upon in raising funds. All the fundraising is done through exercises and adventure – anything that is a physical achievement. They create, manage and run events throughout the year and divide all that they’ve raised each year between three and five children’s charities, nominated annually. In the past, they've given money to Martin House Children’s Hospice, Get Kids Going, CHASE Hospice Care for Children and Chestnut Tree House.
