The Stage Events will be running three expert-led, career development taster sessions at ISDF. Michael Wharley, a leading voice in the entertainment industry, will be running two sessions: Market yourself online and Headshots: create your perfect contemporary portfolio. Author, theatre critic and performer Jennifer Reischel will be providing advice for performers at the outset of their careers in her session ‘Graduate essentials: how to launch your career’.

How to nail your acting audition with Thomas Hescott

Director Thomas Hescott has most recently worked on West End production Long Day’s Journey Into Night, starring David Suchet. Thomas has auditioned numerous actors – from those at the start of their careers to seasoned professionals, and will bring all his experience to bear in his session on acting audition technique. Taking you through the entire audition process, from preparing to the reading to taking direction, Thomas’ session will demonstrate how to give your best in any acting audition scenario.
