Romeo + Juliet adaptation by Lolita Chakrabarti (***** TV Times, on BBC’s When Romeo met Juliet). The electrifying production originally featured in BBC 2’s When Romeo Met Juliet.

Prince of Denmark by Michael Lesslie (**** Evening Standard). A thrilling prequel to Hamlet that enjoyed a sell-out run at the National Theatre in 2010. 

At St James’s Church Piccadilly between 31 August – 15 September:

Pope Joan by Louise Brealey. The West End premiere of the legendary 10^th century myth of the one and only female pontiff.
