Get Involved - London 2012 Ceremony Volunteers

Recruitment has now opened for the Volunteer positions, and your tutors have a full breakdown of the roles.

Applications are on invite only, and the Founder College network were selected to attend a briefing meeting a few weeks ago. 

The organising team are looking to recruit over 500 volunteers for roles in Costume, Props & Technical, Casting and Operations for the Opening, Closing and Medal Ceremonies.  London travel will be covered, but not accommodation, and students will be trained for one of the largest stages this country has seen.

Volunteers will be needed in:

• Costume and Make-up – making and labelling costumes, hair and make-up for all ceremonies.
• Props and Technical – prop construction, follow spot operators and mic maintenance
• Casting – supporting casting assistants, working on the performer database and running for rehearsals
• Operations – supporting venue infrastructure, show operations and catering support
• Victory Ceremonies – volunteers will be needed for on-site rehearsals with broadcasters, photographers and press
