Description

Greenhorn Short Film Festival is seeking films by young filmmakers to be screened as part of this year’s festival.

Films should be no more than 15 minutes long, and can be from any genre. The winning film will be screened at ArtHouse Crouch End as part of Greenhorn 2014 on Tuesday 18 November. Winning filmmakers will get two access all areas passes to the festival, a profile article on Ideas Tap, and a free ProductionBase membership. Greenhorn will also be screening the films of two runners-up, who will receive a pair of complimentary tickets to their screening and a free ProductionBase membership.

The judges are looking for a well-made short film by a first-time, or early career, filmmaker that stands out as having an original voice, and possibly a quirky angle.

Greenhorn Patron, Mike Leigh, says of the festival:

“Greenhorn is stimulating, original, healthily anarchic and sharp as a row of needles. In short, a breath of fresh air.”

Gorilla Film Magazine says:

“Excellent films, intelligent discussion; I left feeling elated and inspired!”
