PopShack is a brand new entertainment network for teenagers from all over the world. It encourages you to #FindYourVoice - it’s not just about singing covers on YouTube, or even about singing itself!
PopShack has been working with three teenagers from Hackney who have produced spoken word pieces in response to the hashtag #FindYourVoice
PopShack would like IdeasTap members to respond to these poems with treatments for accompanying moving image (film or animation). The winners will get a budget of £300 to produce their ideas.
Click to listen to short extracts of the poems on SoundCloud:
Ibukun Badamus-Olanrewaju – Find Your Voice
Keema Toussaint – Change
Victoria Ayodeji – Barbie
The winning films will be showcased on Popshack’s and IdeasTap’s YouTube channels.
Fifteen shortlisted IdeasTap members will also get to attend a workshop with an experienced video maker on how to develop ideas, put together and pitch a treatment.
The judges are looking for originality, imagination, sensitivity, and relevance to subject and context. In other words, something like this.
