Actors! The Roundhouse is looking for six emerging actors to be part of a collective of performers that will voice five original radio plays for its youth-led radio station, Roundhouse Radio.
You will be invited to record in the Roundhouse Radio Studio while working with the writers of the five plays during the October half term. Each brief-winning actor will be sent a recording of the plays for promotional use and will be credited in the recordings as well. These will be broadcast during December 2014 on Roundhouse Radio.
You will be playing different roles in five plays, so a variety of accents are very welcome. You will be working closely with the play’s writers during the rehearsal and then join a producer in the studio to record each script.
Auditions will be held on Sunday 12 October at the Roundhouse and the recording will take place during the October half term, from Monday 27 October – Sunday 2 November. Each play will take around a day to rehearse and record. During December 2014 the plays will be broadcast on Roundhouse Radio.
The Roundhouse is hoping to find performers who have an understanding of how challenging and exciting it can be to portray a character by only using your voice. No experience necessary!
The auditions and recordings will be held at the Roundhouse, Chalk Farm Road, London NW1 8EH.
Please only apply if you are able to be in London for the audition day (Sunday 12 October) and for the recording days in the studio (Monday 27 October – Saturday 1 November).
