Description

We’re working with Magnum Photos to bring IdeasTap photographers an incredible industry opportunity.

We’ve got 10 bursary places to give away on Magnum’s next two-day Professional Practice Seminar in Liverpool. If you’re serious about taking your career to the next level, then trust us - you need to be there.

These seminars are always massively oversubscribed and photographers normally pay £350+VAT to attend. Not only will 10 IdeasTap members jump the queue, they’ll also pay just £50+VAT.

This brief is open to IdeasTap members based in the UK aged 16-25.

The seminar will take place at the Slavery Museum in Liverpool on the weekend of 4-5 June 2011. Both days begin at 9.30am and end at 6pm.

Speakers include Ian Berry, Magnum photographer; Sophie Chapman-Andrews, Head of Art Buying, McCann Erickson; Jessica Crombie, Head of Film and Photography, Save The Children; Lauren Heinz, Editor, Foto8 Magazine; Dewi Lewis, Dewi Lewis Publishing; Zoe Whishaw, Commercial Photography Consultant; Fiona Rogers, Cultural & Education Coordinator, Magnum Photos and Magnum's cultural director Sophie Wright.

To apply you’ll need to have five themed photos uploaded to your IdeasTap portfolio and explain how your career would benefit from this opportunity.

Please note, you do not have to pay anything to enter this brief. You will only be asked to pay the £50+VAT if you are one of the 10 winners.
