Our BFFs at the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain are offering one young theatre director one hell of a break…

The Bryan Forbes NYT REP Assistant Director Bursary is a paid, eight-month, full-time gig. The purpose of the role is to learn the skills of a director through practical experience.

The winner of this brief will support the work of the NYT REP Company. They’ll get to assist on several productions over the course of the eight-month period, and will also train alongside the actors in the REP Company developing knowledge and an understanding of the performer. They will be mentored by none other than Jeremy Herrin, NYT alumnus and Artistic Director of Headlong.

The scheme takes place from 1 April to 30 November 2014. The winner will receive a £10,000 bursary.
