Description

Edinburgh is the biggest arts festival on the planet so getting press coverage for your show can be hard. IdeasTap to the rescue!

We’ve drafted in the services of industry expert Elin Morgan to help you to prepare for Edinburgh and maximise your exposure. She’ll provide six lucky individual members or companies with half an hour of one-to-one PR advice at IdeasTap HQ on Tuesday 1 May 2012.

This brief is open to IdeasTap members of any age but you must be planning to take a show to Edinburgh this August. To apply, upload a word document with an overview of your show, including details of your Edinburgh venue, and an outline of what you hope to gain from taking part in this workshop, as well as one draft press release for the show.

About Elin Morgan, Director of Prospero Art

Winners of the ‘Best PR‘ award at the Fringe Report Awards 2010, Prospero is a PR and communications company for comedy, theatre and visual arts. Elin will work with six IdeasTap companies who are planning to take their production to The Edinburgh Festival Fringe this year. She’ll run through the principles of effective press release writing, explain how best to approach journalists and provide one-to-one assessments of press releases.

This brief closes at 5pm on Thursday 26 April and is open to IdeasTap members of any age. If you have any technical queries, email info@ideastap.com. Late entries will not be accepted under any circumstances, including technical issues – so make sure you don’t leave your application to the last minute.
