The times they are a-changing – at least for the Editor’s Brief, that is.
We love the Editor’s Brief and it loves you. It’s open to all ages and disciplines, and we want to keep it that way. But to ensure that creatives of all disciplines get a slice of the pie, we’re splitting the brief into three disciplines and going quarterly, rather than monthly.
Don’t worry – we’re still giving out as many cash prizes as before, but now, we’ve got three categories for you to apply to. There will be a first (£250), second (£100) and third (£50) prize in EACH of the following categories – that’s NINE prizes in total:
- Audio and video – no longer than two minutes
- Text – no longer than 1,000 words
- Visual arts/photographs – no more than two
To kick off, our springtime theme is Grow. Growing plants, growing in height, spiritual growth – however you tackle this theme, we want to see your work. Have as much fun as you want with the theme – we’re looking for an original take on it, executed with flair and style.
All first prize winners will become part of our alumni. Please note that you can only apply to this brief in one category.
This brief closes on 31 May at 5pm and is open to IdeasTap members based in the UK. Late entries will not be accepted under any circumstances, including technical issues – so make sure you don’t leave your application to the last minute. If you have technical issues, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
