Description
Want to be part of a film festival jury? Here's your chance.
Education Events at the BFI London Film Festival are inviting 10 young Londoners between the ages of 18 and 22 to find out how a festival jury works. The project focuses on the 12 nominated films for the 2012 Sutherland Award for the Most Original and Innovative First Feature in the LFF.
The Youth Jury will be chaired by Michael Hayden, Programmer for the London Film Festival. After an introductory training/discussion session covering the role of the award, procedures for judging nominees and priorities to guide judging, the Youth Jury will view all 12 films and select their own award winner.
Youth Jury sessions will be done as a group at BFI Southbank. Jurors must be available 12 to 8.30pm on all these dates – so make sure you can attend before applying:
- Monday 17 September
- Monday 24 September
- Monday 1 October
- Monday 8 October
The date for the final jury decision is TBC, but likely to be three hours on Friday 19 October.
