Description
Today, anyone with a smartphone can shoot, edit and upload content to their blog then promote it on Twitter – in minutes.
Dictators, policemen and footballers have learnt this the hard way.
We love citizen journalism here at IdeasTap, which is why we’re celebrating it with the new monthly Mobilise brief. We’re looking for photos and videos that tell bite-sized stories from your community - about you, the people around you and your environment.
This month the theme is:
Outdoors
Interpret it how you like, but remember, we’re looking for work that tells us something about your life.
You can apply with one photograph or a one-minute video – but you have to shoot it on your phone. You can use any apps you like to edit your work, but don’t feel you have to. Mobilise is open to 16-19-year-old members who are based in the UK.
The winner each month gets £100 with four runners up getting £25.
We’ll pick a shortlist of 10 and then, in the democratic spirit of the brief, IdeasTap members will vote to decide the winner and four runners up.

This brief closes at 5pm on Thursday 30 June.
How to respond
Mobilise is open to 16-19-year-old IdeasTap members who are based in the UK.
1. First you need to join the brief by clicking Follow This Brief in the yellow box on the left of this page.
3. Then click Apply now in the yellow box on the left. This will take you to a page headed Submit Your Response.
4. In the Title field, enter the name of your piece of work.
5. In the Summary box tell us in 100 words or less where you took the photo or video, who or what the subject is, why it’s important to you, what handset you used - and include a link to the relevant piece of work in your IdeasTap portfolio. You can shorten the URL by using www.bit.ly.
6. Once you’re happy with your summary, hit Submit.
7. Once your application has been submitted, make sure that you have a picture on your profile. As with all briefs on IdeasTap, you can't win if you don't have a profile photo.
