Description
DANCE:FILM is Scotland’s dance film festival: a celebration of dance and film in all its forms, with screenings, events, workshops and installations taking place in Edinburgh from 12 to 19 November.
This year, the festival is working with IdeasTap to present a programme of dance films handpicked from our members entries, accompanied by a panel event/workshop involving the filmmakers from the selected films, industry professionals and filmmaking and dance students from Edinburgh.
For the chance to take part, enter with a short dance film. We are looking for entries in the following categories:
- Dance for Camera – where dance/movement is specifically choreographed for the camera
- Dance with Camera – where the camera and the filmic/video medium itself plays an integral role in the dance/movement
- Is it Dance – the more experimental films involving movement and dance that challenge the notion of dance and choreography
- Dance documentaries
