Winners have now been announced

  1. The Brief
  2. How to respond

Description

WE'VE GOT THE CASH IF YOU'VE GOT THE IDEAS...

Ideas Fund Innovators is our funding scheme open to all creative disciplines.

If you're aged between 16-25 and have a creative project that could do with a cash injection, this is the fund for you. We’re offering 10 projects £1,000 each to help get them off the ground.

In the past we've funded everything from dance and film projects to music videos and photography collectives. Whatever creative field you work in, we'll consider your application.

We're looking for projects that are inspiring, original, innovative and that we think you can deliver. Read application tips from previous winners and download our PDF about creating a project budget.

So here’s the boring bit. You MUST read the Ts&Cs and How To Respond Tab in full before you apply – we get loads of applications we have to make ineligible because people haven’t read the terms. Here are a couple of highlights:

You must be aged 16 to 25 on the closing date (22 June 2012) and be resident in the UK. Your project must take place between July 2012 and March 2013. Technical issues? E-mail info@ideastap.com.

This brief closes at 5pm on Friday 22 June 2012. We will not consider late applications under any circumstances, including technical difficulties, so allow yourself plenty time to get your application uploaded. If you have technical issues, please email info@ideastap.com.

  • Well done to the winners of the innovators fund :) . I actually thought I would win this year but heyho. However I find it funny how all the winners are over 19 and have been to university and most have a good portfolio of work anyway maybe because of those reasons their briefs were a lot better than mine. I do think that you should give younger people a chance as it is 16-25 year old. I sound like a bad loser and yes I am being one because the amount of times I have applied for funding and this year I have come with something fresh but no opportunity for me this year,. I would like to see all of the winner’s project when they have finished and how it helped them etc. I would like some feedback on my brief so I know what was wrong. I am only complaining because how passionate I am about it and how much I would of appreciated this opportunity. Well done to the winners I look forward to seeing your work :)

  • Hi IdeasTap,

Similar question to others who have posted, we were wondering when the brief outcomes will be posted up? We heard that they should have been posted up around this time?

    Many thanks

  • Hi Ideastap,

Roughly how long do you think it will take you to choose who has won the funding and who is shortlisted?

Myself and my crew have our fingers crossed heavily for this, and we've been checking back every day to see if any new information's gone up.

    Many thanks,

  • I appear to have made a HUGE mistake on my application as I completely missed the application form (whoops!) so attached a ramble of other answers. Can't believe I did that. Hope this hasn't affected things too much.

  • If it is visibly excessive in length then it can affect the application going any further.

  • Hi Lucy, thank you for that! Its that one section is 18 words over the limit? Is this classed as excessive?
