Description
Wanted: one theatre enthusiast with a flair for writing.
Sound like you? Then read on.
We’re looking for an IdeasTap member, aged 16 to 25, to cover the Royal Court Young Writers Festival for us. Since 1973, the festival has been a showcase for debut work by up-and-coming British playwrights.
This year’s programme includes highly anticipated first plays by Luke Norris and Hayley Squires, plus talks, workshops and late-night bar events, including a spoken word soirée with Polarbear and Kate Tempest.
See the full line-up here: www.royalcourttheatre.com/season/young-writers-festival-2012
As our roving reporter, you’ll get free access to any events you’d like to attend and the opportunity to do an interview with at least one of the writers whose work features in the festival. You’ll submit two 500-word articles for publication on IdeasMag: a review of the festival and a Q&A.
To apply, tell us in 100 words or less why you’d like to cover the Young Writers Festival and please include a link to an example of your writing in your IdeasTap portfolio.
This brief closes at 5pm on Friday 10 February and is open to IdeasTap members aged 16 to 25. If you have any technical queries, email info@ideastap.com. Late entries will not be accepted under any circumstances, including technical issues – so make sure you don’t leave your application to the last minute.
