Actors! Would you like to perform in a new play at the Tricycle Theatre? Read on…

Tricycle Theatre is looking to recruit around 20 IdeasTap members. This is a training opportunity, with a chance to develop skills and the possibility of joining the Tricycle’s Young Company Ensemble.

You will rehearse, and perform, a new play on the Tricycle stage, written collaboratively by a team of young writers and directed by a professional theatre director.

Selected performers will spend 19-23 August at the Tricycle, working with the director. They will rehearse a new play, written earlier this summer by Young Company members. The young writers have developed their work with the support of professional writers Evan Placey, Suhayla El-Bushra and Denton Chikura. A performance will take place for an invited audience at the Tricycle on 23 August 2013. 

Each member chosen will be given £5 to cover their expenses every day. 

About the Young Company

Tricycle’s Young Company will relaunch in September 2013, establishing itself as a north-west London hub for theatre and filmmakers aged 11 to 25 who make work that provokes debate, engages the emotions and brings unheard voices into the mainstream. Company members will collaborate with professional artists to create new productions, research and develop ideas and stage an annual takeover of the Tricycle’s theatre and cinema.

This brief closes on Wednesday 31 July 2013 at 5pm and is open to IdeasTap members aged 18 to 25 on the closing date.
