Description

The Screen Arts Institute (SAI) is offering 12 screenwriters the opportunity to attend a half-day story development workshop. Places on this workshop usually cost £89. Each member will also receive detailed feedback on their movie idea, plus further learning/industry resources from the SAI.

One workshop attendee will then be chosen to go forward and pitch direct to Harriet Spencer, Working Title’s development executive, and to film director Oliver Parker.

The workshop will take place at IdeasTap HQ in London, and will be hosted by TV and film development guru, Stephen May (director of the SAI).

The workshop will take place four times:

  • Thursday 23 October (morning 10.30am-1.30pm and afternoon 2-5pm)
  • Thursday 6 November (morning 10.30am-1.30pm and afternoon 2-5pm)

There will be six filmmakers at each half-day session, including three free places for IdeasTap members per session.

The judges are looking for a decent pitch and applicants that want to be good collaborators.

About The SAI

The Screen Arts Institute is an organisation that works with the best in the industry (such as Working Title, the Curzon Group, Universal Studios, ITV Studios, the BBC, HBO) here, and in the US to help emerging talent have their movies and TV programmes made and distributed.
