Description

Are you a writer? We are looking for pieces inspired by one of Shakespeare's characters for a new festival. If you are a film practitioner, and would like to apply for this brief, click here.

April 2014 will be the 450th anniversary of William Shakespeare’s birth. From Stratford-upon-Avon to the Globe, celebrations are being planned, plays rehearsed, performers prepared. To celebrate the Bard’s birthday, and connection to Shoreditch, theatre upstarts, and Creative Space members, Felix Mortimer and Josh Nawras are organizing Shakespeare in Shoreditch - an interdisciplinary festival celebrating Shakespeare – and they want YOU to get involved!

Felix and Josh are looking for a theatre practitioner, and IdeasTap member, to present their work as part of the festival. You will be paired with a local group, and together you will produce one of the ten pieces of work in the festival. You will receive a £500 fee for your work and will be supported by Felix, Josh and their production team from start to finish.

This brief closes on Monday 14 October at 5pm and is open to IdeasTap members aged 16 to 30. If you have any technical queries, visit the help centre. Late entries will not be accepted under any circumstances, including technical issues – so make sure you don’t leave your application to the last minute.
