Ever wanted to learn how to develop your illustration skills? Across various platforms? Using multidisciplinary approaches including storyboarding, motion design, and editing? You’ve come to the right place…
Having a basic knowledge of motion design is essential as an increasing number of web-based businesses are looking to bulk up on content, and the demand for cross-platform designers in the market is growing.
We’re giving up to five IdeasTap members from a graphic design/illustration background the opportunity to sharpen up their motion graphics skills through a series of three one-day workshops here at IdeasTap HQ. These workshops will help you bring your work to life though motion design.
This brief is aimed at:
- Observational-based illustrators
- Character-lead designers
- Graphic designers wishing to add motion to a pitch/brief
The winners of this brief will already have a few selected image(s) that they want to animate. Over the three one-day workshops, they will learn how storyboard the narrative of their animation and break down their illustrations into components ready for use in Adobe After Effects using Adobe software Photoshop and Illustrator.
They will then learn how to animate these components using Adobe After Effects to create a fluid piece of motion design.
The workshops will take place at IdeasTap HQ. It will be led by design professional Lucien Bishop. Lucien is looking for designers whose work would benefit from the added expertise of motion design. Each winner of this brief will be able to arrange with Lucien when they would like their one-to-one workshops to take place.
IdeasTap will provide travel expenses up to the value of £100 for any winners based outside London, on the provision of valid receipts.
