Description

We're offering one lucky IdeasTap member the paid opportunity to photograph IdeasTap-funded shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this August. (If you're a writer, visit the Edinburgh Young Critics Scheme brief.)

You will photograph a maximum of eight shows during the week beginning Monday 5 August – so please make sure you're free to be there that week.

You will be covering the four winners of IdeasTap Underbelly Award and the performances of four other companies to be selected. Depending on schedules, at most, you will photograph 10 shows. This means working closely with the companies to get great shots of their productions. Also, if you choose to take general shots around the festival, we may use them on the site – but this is an optional element of the job.

You will receive a fee of £300 for your hard work, plus a further £10 for each shot we use in IdeasMag and across the IdeasTap website – last year we used 12 shots.

Travel and accommodation expenses will not be reimbursed or organised by IdeasTap – we’re looking for a photographer who will already be in Edinburgh that week, regardless of this brief, and who will do this work in addition to work they’re already doing at the festival.

Please note: This is not a full-time position for the week and £300 plus extras does not cover full-time hours.

This brief closes on Monday 14 July 2014 at 5pm and is open to IdeasTap members aged 18 and over. Late entries will not be accepted under any circumstances, including technical issues – so make sure you don’t leave your application to the last minute.
