Are you starting out in dance photography? Or are you already working in dance photography and seeking to gain more skills? Well this brief could be just the thing…

Cloud Dance Festival is offering 30 IdeasTap members the opportunity to learn more about dance photography, gain experience and develop their skills through a one-day workshop, while learning from one of the top dance photographers in the UK.

The all-day masterclass will start with a session with leading dance photographer James Rowbotham. You will then get the chance to sit-in on tech rehearsals of up to eight contemporary dance works. During the rehearsals, you will be able to practice your photography technique under the guidance and tuition of professional photographer Cathy Martin.

There will also be a location photography session taught on Sunday 17 November by James Rowbotham, drawing on his experience of location photography in Paris, Thailand, Argentina, Cheltenham and other cities. Location photography sessions may be offered on the other days too, depending on the level of interest.

After the workshop, Cloud Dance Festival is planning to hold an exhibition of some selected photos, and they also hope to arrange discounted equipment hire for participants.

The workshops will take place on 15, 16 and 17 November (10 IdeasTap members per day) at Bernie Grant Arts Centre in north London. The workshop will cost £25 per person.

This brief closes on Monday 28 October 2013 at 5pm and is open to IdeasTap members aged 18 and over. We will not consider late applications under any circumstances, including technical difficulties, so allow yourself plenty time to get your application uploaded. If you have technical issues, please visit the Help Centre.
