  1. The Brief
  2. How to respond

Description

This month we’re heading back to the classroom for the Editor’s Brief. As a new term dawns, we’re on a nostalgia trip here at IdeasTap HQ. From chalky board rubbers to vomit-coloured uniforms, swimming pool plasters to drawing pins on chairs, we want to see your work on the theme of:

SCHOOL

Whether it’s a distant memory or a recent trauma, we’re looking for work that reminds us of the teachers we fancied, the kids that took our lunch money and the snogs behind the bike sheds. Feel free to interpret the theme in any way you wish and respond in any discipline – from a short film to a photograph, a poem to a monologue.

The person who submits the best piece of work will win £300 and become part of our IdeasTap alumni. Two runners up will also win £100 each.

The work can be in any discipline you like, but it must relate to the theme. Work is limited to:

Audio and video - no longer than two minutes

Text - no longer than 1,000 words

Images/photos - no more than two

Find out how to apply by clicking on the “How to respond” tab at the top of this brief...

I really hope it's not too late? Has my submission been successful Joe? I'm unsure if I have done everything as per guidelines.

When do we discover the lucky Winner/Runner up?

    Thanks,

    Lauren

  • Hi Lauren,

To add a supporting item click on 'Add to your portfolio' below your profile picture, then upload your item under the appropriate tab. You'll then need to copy the URL of your item in Presentation view and include it in the Summary field when you send us your response.

    I hope this helps,

    Joe

  • Hi Owen,

Yes, you can apply as many times as you want although if you apply too many times it would denigrate the strength of each entry.

    Best,
