Description

Fancy yourself as a theatre or opera critic? This is the brief for you.

Thanks to English National Opera, we’re giving one talented IdeasTap member a pair of tickets to attend the opening night of John Adams’ new opera The Death of Klinghoffer at the Coliseum, directed by Tom “War Horse” Morris.

The Death of Klinghoffer features a libretto by Alice Goodman and focuses on the hijacking of the Achille Lauro ship by Palestinian terrorists in 1985. Baldur Brönnimann conducts, while Alan Opie plays Klinghoffer and Neal Davies plays the Captain.

Our brief winner will attend the event (with a friend) and report back to IdeasMag with a 500-word review. Also, he or she will have the opportunity to interview two members of the cast/crew – names to be confirmed.

We’re looking for a theatre/opera lover who has a way with words. Before applying, please make sure you can attend the event at the Coliseum, London, on Saturday 25 February at 7.30pm

This brief closes on Friday 10 February at 5pm and is open to IdeasTap members aged 16 to 30. If you have any technical queries, email info@ideastap.com. Late entries will not be accepted under any circumstances, including technical issues – so make sure you don’t leave your application to the last minute.
