Five IdeasTap members will get the opportunity to take part in a choreographic lab at Rambert.

Description

As part of Rambert Revealed, Rambert will be running a three-and-a-half hour choreographic lab for five emerging choreographers who have completed full-time training or are in their third year of vocational training.

The lab will be on Friday 17 October and will be led by Mark Baldwin, Artistic Director of Rambert, and Peggy Olislaegers, Director of the Dutch Dance Festival and associate dramaturg at Rambert. The lab will give participants the opportunity to work directly with dancers from Rambert.

There will be five winners of this brief.  They will get the opportunity to:

  • investigate their own choreographic practice
  • work with Rambert dancers
  • work in the studios of the new Rambert building

The judges of this brief are looking for IdeasTap members…

  • that are committed to developing their skills, experiences and choreographic practice
  • with a clear idea of their own choreographic style and language
  • that can demonstrate a track record of an interest in choreography
  • with the ability to work effectively with professional dancers

This brief closes on Wednesday 1 October 2014 at 5pm BST and is open to IdeasTap members aged 18 and over. Late entries will not be accepted under any circumstances, including technical issues – so make sure you don’t leave your application to the last minute.
