Description

Are you a fledgling photographer seeking inspiration?

The RSC Key, a free scheme run by the RSC for 16-25 year olds, is looking for images inspired by quotes from its forthcoming Summer Season, to be displayed on screens in the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and in an online gallery. Three designs will also be printed on postcards and handed out at freshers’ fairs, with copies supplied to the winners.

The quotes are:

“All the world’s a stage, And all the men and women merely players” from As You Like It

“Neither a borrower nor a lender be” from Hamlet

“The web of our life is of a mingled yarn, good and ill together” from All’s Well That Ends Well

Seven shortlisted winners will then be invited, along with friends and family, to an event at the RSC where they will see their images on the digital screens and receive two tickets to a show that evening. (IdeasTap will contribute up to £50 per winner for travel expenses.)

Members of the free RSC Key scheme have access to £5 theatre tickets for shows in Stratford-upon-Avon, on tour and in London. As well as £5 tickets, members can also enjoy exclusive events, discounts and offers.

Successful submissions will be interesting and professional-looking photographs that represent the quotes in a creative way and will appeal to young people. Each entry must be the original work of the entrant and not infringe the rights of any other party.

This brief closes on Friday 22 March at 5pm and is open to all IdeasTap members aged 16 and above. If you have any technical queries, contact the Help Centre. Late entries will not be accepted under any circumstances, including technical issues – so make sure you don’t leave your application to the last minute.
