What you win

We're commissioning one creative individual, or group, to come up with a new poster design for IdeasTap.

Judging

Vicky Creevey - marketing manager, IdeasTap

Description

We're looking for a talented graphic designer or illustrator to design a new poster for IdeasTap. The poster will be printed in A3 and sent to leading cultural and arts organisations nationwide, in addition to being distributed at university and industry careers fairs. The aim of the poster is to promote our charity and what we offer to potential new members.

One winning designer will be awarded the commission. You'll receive a £300 design fee, plus a credit on the poster itself. The fee includes up to three sets of design amends. We'll send you 50 copies of the printed poster to use as promotional material.

We're looking for an original idea (no taps or theatre masks please!) that represents IdeasTap and incorporates the following text:

IdeasTap: Creative inspiration and support

We're a charity that helps creative people like you get to where you want to be.

  • I want to apply for the poster commission competition and I have a rough sketch in my portfolio but I was just wondering, do I now upload my final piece to my portfolio? And what URL do I add to my application? Thanks

    • Copy the relevant portfolio link and paste that in the application form.
We're only looking for a concept sketch at this stage - it's up to you which piece you upload, if you already have both, you could include both.

      Thanks!

  • Hello, just spotted the above comment. Didn't realise this was the case so have designed in Landscape, bearing in mind that it is only the idea for the poster and not the final image, would you consider landscape submissions if the artist can alter the design if selected, or do you require it portrait?

    Many thanks

    Colin

    • Hi Colin,
Apologies, the previous response was incorrect. Either portrait or landscape format is fine - whichever works best with your design.

      Thanks

  • Hi, just a quick question about format; I know the poster is to be printed in A3, but can we submit a design in either landscape or portrait? Does this matter? Thanks for any advice.
