Our partners, mac birmingham, are offering 10 IdeasTap members the chance to take part in an intensive, practical three-day filmmaking lab with BAFTA award-winner Michael Baig-Clifford.

The lab will take place at mac birmingham from Wednesday 1 to Friday 3 May, 10am to 6pm each day.

During the three days you will learn to plan, shoot, and edit your own live-action short film and work in different roles to help crew and support others. Participants will shoot on high definition cameras and edit using Apple’s Final Cut software.

On the Friday you will have the opportunity to speak to industry experts and showcase the work you have made in a public screening in the on-site cinema. There is also an opportunity for works to be shown at mac’s outdoor screenings in the summer.

Participants will be required to attend the full three days so please make sure you are free before applying. Lunch and refreshments will be provided each day.
