Description
Birmingham's Flatpack Festival is one of the UK's most innovative and exciting film festivals. Run by 7 Inch Cinema, self-professed “historians [and] purveyors of distinctive film events”, it brings together emerging talent and classic gems.
This is your chance to have your short film screened at Flatpack no.6 as part of a special IdeasTap screening that will take place during the festival between 13 and 18 March 2012.
Submissions should be:
- Under 15 minutes long
- Produced since January 2010
- Fully cleared, including any music rights
Also bear in mind that the Flatpack programme has an emphasis on animation, music, experimental work and handmade oddities.

How to respond
- First of all, make sure that you have embedded your film into your IdeasTap portfolio – clearly label the folder where your film is embedded.
- Join the brief by clicking Follow the brief in the yellow box on the left of this page.
- Download and fill in the application form.
- Click on Apply now.
- Tell us what your film is called.
- Write 100 words or less about your film.
- Upload your completed application form.
- When you’re happy with your application, hit Submit.
- Please make sure you have a photo on your profile page. It doesn't need to be a headshot and you won't be judged on the quality of this picture – but as with all the briefs on the site, you have to have a profile picture to be eligible.
