Description

Are you a photographer with a passion for live music?

Then the Roundhouse Rising Photography competition is for you!

The brief is simple: send us your photos responding creatively to the festival tagline and we’ll select 5 photographers who will have their images exhibited at the Roundhouse during Roundhouse Rising and on their blog.

The tagline is: “An explosion of new music.”

We’re looking for exciting, fresh photography that really captures the feeling of being at a live gig – we want to feel like we’re in the crowd.

The five winners will be given two separate masterclass with rock photographer Jill Furmanovsky and photographer and film maker Kwame Lestrade, on 26 November 11am-4pm at the Roundhouse and January (tbc).

You'll then get linked with a Roundhouse Rising band and work with them to capture the world of an emerging musician, by photographing them outside the performance space. Each winning photographer will have one image selected to be exhibited at the Roundhouse during Roundhouse Rising and their images will be exhibited on the Roundhouse blog.

Get snapping!

If you are aged 14-15 you are eligible to apply through the Roundhouse.

This brief closes on Friday 16 November at 5pm and is open to IdeasTap members aged 16 to 19. If you have any technical queries, please visit the Help Centre. Late entries will not be accepted under any circumstances, including technical issues – so make sure you don’t leave your application to the last minute.
