Calling all short story writers!
We’ve teamed up with arts and literature quarterly The White Review to find new writing talent in the IdeasTap community. We’re looking for unpublished short stories between 1,500 and 3,000 words that fit the theme “Future”.
The winning short story will be published in the July online issue of The White Review, and the writer will receive a gift subscription to the journal.
Two runners-up will receive feedback from the editors of The White Review.
About The White Review
The White Review is an arts and literature quarterly edited by Benjamin Eastham and Jacques Testard. Launched in February 2011, it was established on a non-profit economic model and conceived as a platform to promote new and contemporary writing and art, and to bring new work by emerging writers and artists to a wider audience. It takes its name and a degree of inspiration from La Revue Blanche, a Parisian magazine which ran from 1889 to 1903. It publishes short stories, essays, poetry, reportage, interviews with prominent writers and artists, photography and artwork. The White Review also publishes a monthly online issue with usually web-only content.
Writers and artists interviewed since the launch of the first issue include Paula Rego, William Boyd, Will Self, Marina Warner, Elmgreen & Dragset, Brian Dillon, Juergen Teller and Ahdaf Soueif; prominent writers and artists featured in its pages include Joshua Cohen, JH Engström, Gabriele Beveridge, Badaude, Federico Falco, Michael Horovitz and Deborah Levy.
