Description
Would you like to exhibit alongside artists David Shrigley, Christian Marclay and Hussein Chalayan?
Have you got the vision, the ambition and the guts to create a piece of work big enough to be projected 8m high?
Have you always dreamt of bringing together movement, music, visuals and physical sensation?
As part of Bloomberg Summer at the Roundhouse, internationally renowned architect and designer Ron Arad will create Curtain Call – a suspended curtain made of 6,500 silicon rods on to which he will project films, live performances and all manner of visual stimulation. And yes, we want you to design some of those projections.
One IdeasTap winner will have the opportunity to create a work specifically for this installation, which will be held from 9 to 29 August, 2011.
Showing alongside you will be some of the most innovative artists working today, including Jonathan Safran Foer, Babis Alexiadis, Hussein Chalayan, Mat Collishaw, Ori Gersht, Jude Greenaway, Christian Marclay, SDNA and David Shrigley.
Using sensor technology, visitors to the exhibition will even be able to directly influence the projections on the curtain, using their movement and touch. So, think big, think bold and think interactive.
Worried you don’t have the technical know-how? Don’t worry. All we want you to do is come up with the creative vision and then, with some mentoring from the technology experts at SDNA, we will help you make it a reality. The winning piece of work will be chosen by Ron Arad himself.
