Strangelove: moving image festival presents an evening with Mark Lewis.

Mark Lewis will present and discuss his recent film projects made in São Paulo and Paris respectively and exhibited at the 31st São Paulo Biennial 2014, and currently in solo exhibitions at the Musee du Louvre and the Contemporary Art Centre Le Bal, Paris.

Lewis’ recent work combines digital and analogue moving images and also incorporates 3D animation. He is currently completing Invention, a feature length film that imagines a contemporary world without moving images.

Mark Lewis is an artist based in London. He is co-founder and co-director of Afterall, a publication and research organisation based at Central Saint Martins. In 2009 he represented Canada at the 53rd Venice Biennale with his exhibition Cold Morning. Solo exhibitions include Van Abbe Museum, Eindhoven, 2013 and Vancouver Art Gallery, Canada, 2008.
