SKINT is the debut play from 21-year old-writer Rosie Kellett and has been in development since April 2014, with support from the National Theatre Young Studio, which is funded by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation.

Directed by Jamie Jackson – whose recent credits include the well-received Life on a Plum by Luke Barnes (Nabokov Arts Club at VAULT Festival 2014 and Wilderness Festival) – SKINT is the unflinching, wickedly funny story of four young twentysomethings trying to get to grips with the difficulties of London life.

“Helen, Paul, Ryan and Anna represent generation Broken Britain: they work 50 hours a week, are crippled by university debt and certainly aren't getting any help from their bastard landlord. These four will be renting for life. Helen has a degree but couldn’t get the job she wanted so is working in a call centre with Paul, an aspiring musician. Ryan, once a semi-professional football player, is working in a hotel to avoid taking more money off his dad, and Anna is juggling three shit jobs that earn her just about enough to survive.”

Jackson, whose upcoming projects include WINK by Phoebe Eclair-Powell at Theatre 503 as a part of 503five, said: “I’m really excited to be directing Rosie’s debut play, and to be working at VAULT Festival again. We’ve put together a cast and creative team I’m very excited about.”

Tim Wilson, VAULT Festival Director, added: “We are thrilled to have SKINT at VAULT Festival 2015 and to be welcoming back Jamie Jackson after directing Life On A Plum by Luke Barnes last year at the festival."
