Our A Cappella Course spans 450 years of choral history with music from the early Renaissance to the late twentieth century. Repertoire will be drawn from across Europe and include some of the finest music, including examples from the Italian, Spanish and English reformation. German Romantics will include Mendelssohn, Brahms and Bruckner and we will look at twentieth-century figures including Britten and Tavener, amongst others. Some rarely performed composers who deserve more attention will be also be making their appearance.

A Cappella Choral is suitable for anyone with choral singing experience. Attendees can expect to sight read and polish vocal music from a wide range of periods and styles and learn to explore the various trends and influences which helped to shape it. The course will, through practice, sharpen the skills which make for a higher quality of singing and performance. The course culminates in a concert in nearby St Giles’ Cripplegate
