Performance Preparation Academy One Year Intensive Acting presents The Roses of Eyam.
at G LIVE Studio Theatre, Guildford, Surrey.
In 1665 the small Derbyshire village of Eyam was rocked by a breakout of the bubonic plague. Don Taylor’s play, based on this remarkable and true story, tells of the villager’s determination to prevent the spread of disease by quarantining themselves within the village at the certain risk of their own lives. Human tragedies and even comedies in adversity ensue as the inhabitants show the idealism and courage required to sacrifice oneself for the greater good.
