At the launch of the IdeasTap Photographic Award 2011 last night, the partnership between Magnum Photos and IdeasTap was cemented.

Magnum's Cultural & Education Coordinator Fiona Rogers and IdeasTap's Strategic Development Director Amanda White both spoke about the three-year plan for our two organisations – which are coming together to deliver more awards and training for talented young photographers.

Pierfrancesco Celada (pictured above with Amanda) was crowned the victor of the first IdeasTap Photographic Award, while the work of all three finalists – including Max Downer and Stuart Matthews – was exhibited in Magnum's gallery.

Canapés were scoffed and wine was guzzled, while the finalists' Magnum in Motion multimedia essays – part of their final projects – impressed the crowd of journalists, photographers and IdeasTap/Magnum staffers.

Here's to another three years!
