A taste of Coming Up

A taste of Coming Up

02/02/11

Coming Up tickets are flying off the shelves, so we’re bringing to attention two incredible gastronomic performance projects at the festival later this month. Now that your January detox is well and truly over, it’s time to stuff your face with the finest foodie art…

On 26 and 27 February, Nina Smith and Kindle Theatre are presenting EAT YOUR HEART OUT (pictured above), a theatrical banquet at the end of the world…

EAT YOUR HEART OUT is a three-course performance banquet set to a Baroque-inspired score. It mixes the leftovers of disaster with the ceremony of the dining room in an experience that invites the audience to literally eat the story.

Tickets are £15 and there is no vegetarian option. BOOK NOW.

Meanwhile, Spike Laurie’s Civil Unrest brings together the unlikely dishes of political unrest and sumptuous pre-theatre dining in a mêlée of food, film, theatre and political fervour.

Visual artists work with House of Jonn, creatives in residence at The Hospital Club, to provide a feast for the eyes, while chef Mark Jankel serves up haute cuisine slammer food in a dystopian prison canteen. Contraband Courvoisier Punch is smuggled in for all guests.

The non-meal show tickets are now SOLD OUT, so snap up some meal tickets for £25 if you want to taste the finest prison food in the land. Tickets are on sale NOW.
